Grass Plains Battle
The confrontation between Gungan troops and Trade Federation droids takes place 25 miles from Theed. On the morning of the battle, Gungan troops assemble under cover of the swamps. The Gungan strategy is to wait until the droid army emerges from Theed to meet them on their own ground - in a spot near enough to the swamps to allow a hasty retreat if necessary. The plan works: by midday, two immense armies face each other across a shallow valley between ridges of low hills...
